Microneedling treatment - a new way to get rid of stretch marks

Microneedling treatment is used to improve skin tone and texture; treating the appearance of ageing, scarring, stretch marks and pigmentation marks from acne and sun damage.

Microneedling treatment is used to create microscopic injuries in the stretch marks and the body responds by producing new collagen at the wound sites. This natural reaction by the body heals the tears in the dermis responsible for the stretch marks. As the outer layer of the skin is not affected by micro-needling, the new collagen generated is used only to help heal the stretch marks.

Stretch marks require a series of micro needling sessions, usually at 4-6 week intervals.

Micro-needling stretch marks is a safe and effective way to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Stretch marks or Striae Distensae, are tears to the connective tissue of the skin caused by rapid growth or over-stretching of the skin. When the connective tissue is stretched and tears, epidermal atrophy along the tear results.
