Our ND Yag laser machine uses Nd-doped YAG crystals as the medium to generate laser light. The energy released in this way can be absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles or the target blood vessels, generating heat and destroying the hair follicles or lesions without harming the surrounding tissues. Principles Of Treatment
Laser generation:
Nd:YAG laser contains a Nd:YAG crystal inside. Through the excitation of external light source, Nd ions are raised to high energy level. When these ions return to low energy level, they release laser of specific wavelength (1064nm).
Selective photothermal effect：
Specific wavelength of laser is absorbed by specific pigments, such as melanin. The absorbed laser energy is converted into heat energy, which makes the target pigment particles expand and break into smaller particles instantly.
Pigment removal:
These broken pigment particles are engulfed by macrophages in the human body and discharged from the body through the lymphatic system, thereby achieving the purpose of removing pigment.
Protection of normal tissue:
Since normal skin absorbs less laser of specific wavelength, Nd:YAG laser causes less damage to surrounding normal tissue during treatment.
